Power of the Inner Light

guided meditation
What is meditation? Meditation is a technique that is practiced to quiet and slow the mind. There are many ways to meditate. One traditional way is to find a quiet space, close your eyes and focus on the breath. When thoughts bubble up to the surface, don't let them bother you or judge them. The mind never completely shuts off. The objective is to simply observe any thoughts when you become aware of them and let them go. Then go back to focusing on the breath.
Other methods include moving meditation. This is done with the eyes open. The way to quiet the mind is to remain present in the moment and completely focus on what you are doing. Whether observing the world around you as you take a walk or being very aware of your surroundings and what you are doing as you do chores at home.
What is guided meditation? A guided meditation will start off by slowing down the mind through breathwork. It is using guided imagery through a teacher, recorded video or even listening to a recording of your own voice reading a meditation. It can be a great tool to help focus the mind and gain clarity and insight into your thoughts and issues, or connect with Spirit on a deeper level. It can be specially helpful for someone who is a beginner at meditating. Listening to a guide can help keep the mind from wandering and help you get into a deeper meditative state.
What to expect from a guided meditation with Barbara:
-
Barbara will first sit with the client to determine goals in doing a guided meditation. What are their expectations, and what the client hopes to get out of it.
-
Next step is to start to settle in and relax. This is done by closing the eyes, slowing down the breath and relaxing the muscles. Meditation music can help with this process, depending on the client's preference.
-
The meditation will continue with imagery that includes bringing in cleansing white light, sending energy into the earth to ground, and then a channeled meditation that will be guided by Spirit in the client's highest good. That could mean connecting and getting messages from your Spiritual Team, connecting with your Higher Self or sitting in a calm, sacred space to allow healing.
-
The meditation ends with the client remaining grounded and more centered. Barbara will then take time to discuss the experience and make suggestions for them to continue practicing meditation on their own.
-
The meditation session can be recorded and shared with the client for personal use only.
