Reiki (pronounced “ray-key”) is a type of energy healing, in which a Reiki practitioner channels life force energy through their hands and into the body of the client.  It is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.

Originating in Japan, the word Reiki means spiritually guided life force energy.  It activates a person’s innate ability to heal on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels.  Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method that everyone can use.

A Reiki session feels like a wonderful, warm radiance that flows through and around the client.  The client lays on a massage table fully clothed.  A reiki practitioner works with their intuition and a standard set of hand positions to restore the client’s energy field (which is made up of an outer layer called the aura and the 7 main chakras of the body) to a healthy level.
